Tycklinge bath
Located on one of the most popular promenade routes outside the city centre (Tycklingerunde). The Tycklingebath is located outside on the peninsula. The swimming area also has a signposted section for dogs.
Visit the bath on foot or by bicycle. The area is car-free. Only residents and vehicles with a permit may use the community road.
Vätterviks bath
Situated directly north of Vadstena, in the course of the former Reichsstraße 50, today a country road. The bay is flat and has a sandy bottom. The beach is child-friendly. Vätterviksbadets Camping is also located at the bath This means access to kiosks and toilets.
Järnevid open-air bath
Situated between Örberga and Nässja, west of Vadstena. The road access consists of narrow paths.
Bårstad's open-air bath
Bathing bridge at Bårstabad
North of Borghamn. The access road branches off from Bårstadsvägen. Parking available. The bathing place is on the east side.

Signposts to dog bathing area
There are dog beaches in specially marked areas by Bårstad, Tycklinge and Vätterviksbad.
Please note that dogs are not allowed in the official bathing areas from 1 June to 15 September. In the areas marked for dogs, however, they can swim all year round. This also applies for natural bathing places.
Bårstad's dog bath
North of Borghamn. The access road branches off from Bårstadsvägen. Parking available.
The dog bath is located on the west side and is signposted.

The dog bathing area is located at a specially designated spot at Vätterviksbad.
Natural beach by the lakefront in Vadstena
There are natural bathing places in several places in the municipality. Unlike the official bathing sites, there is no access to toilets and the municipality does not carry out water quality checks. Please note that the promenade in the city area is considered a natural swimming area.
A popular natural bathing place with a sandy beach is located at Hovanäset.
There is a barrier-free bathing area in the town of Vadstena. You can find it at the end of Lastköpingsgatan by the adult education centre. There is a ramp that allows you to gently get into the water if you have difficulty walking or are in a wheelchair. Remember that it is a natural bath with some pebbles on the bottom. Feel free to use bathing shoes and the bath will be even more pleasant.
